Professors Mo Jihong, Liu Renwen and Lv Yanbin comment on the top ten news of the people‘s courts in 2022

On January 4, 2023, the top ten news of people's courts in 2022 selected by the Editorial Department of the People's Court Daily were released. The top ten news are: the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee hears the work report of the Leading Party Group of the Supreme People’s Court; the construction of the Intellectual Property Professional Adjudication Pattern basically completed; the special campaign to crack down on and address elderly care fraud completed; people's courts start implementing the pilot program on servicing the development of new-type urbanization; China and ASEAN countries deepen Judicial cooperation; Chengdu-Chongqing Financial Court, the first court with trans-provincial jurisdiction in China established; the construction of smart courts makes the high-quality development of trial and enforcement possible; courts throughout the country comprehensively and thoroughly study, publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China; Chinese judges elected as judges of the United Nations Appeals Tribunal and United Nations Dispute Tribunal for the first time; and China builds the world’s only environmental and resource adjudication system covering courts at all levels. Three scholars from the Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, professors Mo Jihong, Liu Renwen and Lv Yanbin, were invited by the People's Court Daily to comment on the top ten news.
