This bookis an important phased research result of the large-scale research project "The Belt and Road" Legal Risk Prevention and Legal Mechanism Construction of CASS in 2019-2022, and a part of the book series "Contemporary International Law Research".The book was written by researchers of CASS Institute of International Law, edited by Professor Liu Huawen, deputy director of CASS Institute of International Law, and published by China Social Sciences Press. It outlines the basic framework, scope and main viewpoints of international law research in China, and summarizes the development trends, tasks, and problems and directions worthy of further research in different fields of international law. This book not only maintains the integrity of the disciplinary system, but also pays special attention to the new developments in the forefront of international law, including new trends in increasingly active fields such as international environmental law and international health law. The purpose of this book is to contribute to the construction of the discipline system, academic system and discourse system of international law and play a guiding role in strengthening the research and application of international law at the new development stage of the "14th Five-Year Plan.

 

 

The editor-in-chief of this book, Professor Liu Huawen, is the deputy director of and a research fellow at CASS Institute of International Law, the executive director of CASS Center for Human Rights Studies, a member of the United Nations Committee against Torture, a vice chairman of Asian Society of International Law, the editor-in-chief of Chinese Yearbook of International Law, and the executive editor-in-chief of Chinese Review of International Law.
