The Seminar on the (Draft) Judicial Interpretation of the Book on Contract in the Chinese Civil Code, sponsored by the Center for Private Law Studies of CASS Law Institute, was successfully held in Beijing on September 25-26, 2021. The seminar was attended by more than 40 experts and scholars from the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Court, Beijing Financial Court, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, China University of Political Science and Law, Central University of Finance and Economics, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, China Foreign Affairs University, Capital University of Economics and Business, Chongqing University, Guangdong University of Finance, the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors, Beijing Horizon Law Firm, Fangda Partners, King & Wood Mallesons, and CASS Law Institute. At the seminar, the participants focused on discussing the various parts of the draft judicial interpretation and put forward many pertinent suggestions for the improvement of the draft.
