The Annual Forum of CASS Key Discipline of Criminal Law and CASS Innovation Project (2021), organized by CASS Law Institute,was held in Beijing on October 23-24, 2021.At the opening ceremony, presided over by Professor Liu Renwen, a research fellow and the head of the Criminal Law Department of CASS Institute of Law, opening speeches were given by ProfessorLi Honglei, Deputy Director of CASS Institute of Law, Mr. Gao Mingxuan, a professor at Renmin University of China, Honorary Dean of the Institute of Criminal Law Science of Beijing Normal University, and Honorary President of China Criminal Law Society, Mr. Jiang Wei, Vice President of the Supreme People’s Court, Mr. Chen Guoqing, Deputy Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, and Professor Chen Zexian, a research fellow at CASS Institute of International Law and executive vice president of the China Criminal Law Society. The forum was divided into seven units, in whichthe participating experts and scholars discussed from the perspective of social governance various issues around the topics of criminal legislation, criminal compliance, social changes and the development of the criminal law system, economic crimes, cybercrimes, application of various crimes after theadoption of Amendment (XI) to the Criminal Law, three-dimensional criminal law and integrationcriminal systems.
