35 legal experts, including Professor Mo Jihong and Professor Xie Hongfei from CASS Institute of Law and Professor Liu Xiaomei from CASS Institute of International Law, were appointed as members of the 4th Legislative Expert Committee of Beijing Municipal Government at a meeting of the Committee held on April 28, 2024. 

The Legislative Expert Committee of the Beijing Municipal Government was established in 2009 with a term of five years. It is mainly responsible for drafting local regulations, formulating government rules and other legislative activities, conducting legal reviews on relevant issues and putting forward review opinions in the municipal government and serves as a "think tank" for the legislative work of the municipal government.
