Director Chen Su of CASS Law Institute Meets the President of the Czech Company Home Credit


 

   

 

Professor Chen Su, Director of CASS Law Institute, held a meeting with a Czech delegation headed by Mr. Jiri Smejc, President of the Czech Company Home Credit on the morning of November 25, 2020. During the meeting the hosts and the guests exchanged opinions on issues relating to the upcoming implementation of the Chinese Civil Code and the Provisions on Several Issues concerning the Application of Law in the Trial of Private Lending Cases, which was revised by Supreme People's Court and came into force on August 20, 2020. Mr. Smejc pointed out that, in recent years, the Chinese Government has been increasingly applying the rule of law thinking and method to solve the problems in economic and social development and the judicial interpretations given by the Supreme People’s Court have had a major impact on market actors. Director Chen Su pointed out that some issues in Chinese legislation and the judicial interpretations made by the Supreme People’s Court are not purely legal issues, but also social and economic issues and are the results of comprehensive consideration. China has a great potential in economic development and he wishes Home Credit a smooth development of its business in the China.
