A delegation of CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law participates in the first "South Asia International Book Fair" and carries out academic exchange activities in Nepal


 
 

 

A three-member delegation of CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law attended the first "South Asia International Book Fair" and carried out a series of academic exchange activities in Nepal from November 21 to 25, 2023. Members of the delegation included Professor Mo Jihong, Director of CASS Institute of Law, Professor Zhi Zhenfeng, Head Librarian of CASS Law Library and Editor-in-Chief of the website “International Network for Democracy Theory Studies”, and Assistant Professor Xu Chi, Deputy Head Librarian of CASS Law Library.

 

 

The delegation arrived in Kathmandu and attended the opening ceremony of "2023 South Asia International Book Fair" on the afternoon of November 21. CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law participated in the exhibition as a specially invited unit and set up the only special exhibition of legal books in the book fair, exhibiting more than 40 sets of the latest academic works of the two institutes, including the book series “The Law-based Belt and Road Initiative" and "Towards the Prosperity of International Law Studies (six volumes)", as well as three periodicals published by the two institutes, namely Chinese Journal of Law, Global Law Review and Chinese Review of International Law. During the book fair, the delegation also participated in a number of academic exchange activities such as key book promotion events, seminars and new book launches. On November 22, Professor Zhi Zhenfeng attended the "China-South Asian Forum on Poverty Reduction and Development Cooperation" and delivered a keynote speech at the forum. On the morning of November 23, Professor Mo Jihong attended the promotion of Volume IV of the English version of Xi Jinping’s book “The Governance of China” and delivered a speech at the event. On the afternoon of November 23, the delegation visited the Nepal Bar Association. On November 24, the delegation visited the China-Nepal Friendship Forum, which is a member unit of the Global Think Tank Network for Democracy Studies.
