The Third International Forum on Democracy: the Shared Human Values was held in Beijing on March 20, 2024. The forum was attended by over 200 experts and scholars from various countries and international organizations, who carried out discussions on a wide range of issues around the themes of “democracy and modernization of governance”, “democracy and rule of law in digital times”, “AI and the future of democracy”, and “democracy and global governance in a multi-polar world”.

At Thematic Forum on Democracy and Rule of Law in Digital Times, jointly organized by the Secretariat of the National Top Think Tank of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law and jointly presided over by Professor Xie Zengyi, deputy director of CASS Institute of Law, and Mr. Charles Okechukwu Onunaiju, director of the Center for China Studies in Nigeria, participants from China, Brazil, South Korea, Nepal, Ireland, Cambodia, Kenya, Belorussia, Portugal and Liberia gave presentations and carried out discussions on various issues around the theme of the thematic forum.

Professor Mo Jihong, director of CASS Institute of Law, delivered a report on the main work carried out and the achievements made by the Global Think Tank Network for Democracy Studies in 2023 at the closing ceremony of the Third International Forum on Democracy: the Shared Human Values.
