The promotion meeting of the Arabic version of Xi Jinping’s book on the Belt and Road Initiative was held in the conference hall of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, UAE on April 29, 2024. Professor Mo Jihong, Director of the Institute of Law, made a video speech on "The rule-of-law guarantee for the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative” at the meeting. The promotion meeting was participated by a delegation of CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law, led by Professor Zhi Zhenfeng, head librarian of the CASS Law Library and editor-in-chief of the website International Network for Democracy Studies. Other members of the delegation included two editors of the website, Mr. Zhu Xuelei, an associate research fellow at CASS Institute of Law and Ms. Jin Yuzhen, an assistant research fellow at the CASS Law Library.

During the discussion and exchange session of the meeting, Director Mo Jihong introduced the background and development of the cooperation initiatives of the "New Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road", as well as the important role played by the rule of law in the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The promotion meeting was attended by over 40 representatives from 13 Chinese and foreign entities, including the director of China International Publishing Group, the director of the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Abu Dhabi, the Chinese Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, the president of Foreign Languages Publishing House, the Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab Publishers, and the General Manager of the China State Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Middle East).
