A delegation of CASS Institute of Law, headed by Professor Xie Zengyi, Deputy Director of the Institute, carried out academic exchanges in Japan on September 2 to 6, 2024. Other members of the delegation included Professor Xi Yuemin, head of the Economic Law Department of the Institute, Professor Lu Yanbin, head of the Department of the Survey and Studies of National Situation of the Rule of Law of the Institute, Professor Dong Kun, deputy head of the Procedural Law Department of the Institute, Assistant Professor Zhang Haoran from the Intellectual Property Department of the Institute, Assistant Professor Xu Jiujiu from the Cyber and Information Law Department of the Institute, and Professor Wu Yong, Executive Dean of the Law School of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

During the tour, members of the delegation visited the Law School of Waseda University and the Law School of Tohoku University and carried out in-depth exchanges with their Japanese colleagues on such issues as new technologies and their legal regulation, digital law, training of legal personnel, and legal education, thereby further deepening the cooperation between CASS Institute of Law and the related institutions in Japan.
