A delegation of the French Association of Constitutional Law, headed by Julien BONNET, President of the French Association of Constitutional Law and Professor at the University of Montpellier, visited CASS Institute of International Law on May 19th, 2025. Other members of the delegation included: Dominique ROUSSEAU, Professor Emeritus at the University of Paris I; André ROUX, Professor Emeritus at the Institute of Political Studies of Aix-en-Provence and the University of Aix-Marseille and Editor-in-Chief of the French Review of Constitutional Law; Pauline TURK, Professor at the University of the Côte d’Azur and President of the Academic Council of the French Association of Constitutional Law; Laurence GAY, Senior research fellow and professor at the National Center for Scientific Research; Xavier PHILIPPE, Professor at the Sorbonne Law School, University of Paris I, and member of the Executive Committee of the World Academy of Constitutional Law; Mathieu DISANT, Professor at the Sorbonne Law School, University of Paris I; Thierry LAMBERT, Professor at the University of Aix-Marseille; and Jin Banggui, Professor Emeritus and Director of the Eurasian Institute at Aix-Marseille University.

 

 

During the visit, the delegation held a meeting with Professor Mo Jihong, Secretary of the Joint Party Committee of CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law and Director of the Institute of Law, and Professor Xie Zengyi, Deputy Director of CASS Institute of Law, in which they discussed such issues as the constitutional culture, the development of constitutional law, and the relationship between constitution and branch laws in China and France. Also attended the meeting were Professor Wang Wei, Deputy Director and Research Fellow at the Foreign Related State Law Institute of the Chinese University of Political Science and Law, Professor Liu Xiaomei, Head of the Department of Research Coordination and International Cooperation of CASS Institute of International Law, Professor Li Zhong, Head of the Department of the Rule of Law Strategy of CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law, Dr. Jia Yin, an assistant research fellow at CASS Institute of Law, Dr. Shen Qian, an assistant research fellow at CASS Institute of International Law, and Ms. Zhou Fei and Ms. Qiao Chunni, two program officers of CASS Institute of International Law.
