Professor Jacques Frémont, Honorary President of the University of Ottawa, Canada, and Professor Jiao Jie, a senior advisor to the University, visited CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law in Beijing on April 15, 2026. During the visit, the Canadian guest met with Professor Mo Jihong, director of CASS Institute of Law, and Professor Xie Zengyi, deputy director of CASS Institute of Law. At the meeting, the hosts and guests discussed the future academic exchange and cooperation between the Chinese and Canadian institutions, including the establishment of a long-term exchange and cooperation mechanism between the two CASS Institutes and the Law School of the University of Ottawa, and reached a basic consensus on the framework of future cooperation.
