The Second “New-type Rule of law Think Tank Forum”, jointly hosted by CASS Law Institute, Tianjin Law Society and Tianjin Academy of Social Sciences, was held simultaneously at CASS, Tianjin Academy of Social Sciences and Tencent Meeting Room (online). The forum was attended by over 100 experts and scholars from 26 social sciences academies and law societies throughout the country as well as representatives of the media. Professor Chen Su, Director of CASS Law Institute, made opening remarks at the opening ceremony of the forum. At the forum, Professor Li Lin, a member of CASS Academic Committee, gave a lecture entitled “Theoretical System of Xi Jinping’s Thought on the Rule of Law” and Professor Tian He, Director of CASS Center for National Index of the Rule of Law, gave a lecture entitled “The Construction of Smart Courts in China: Achievements and Problems”. Professor Mo Jihong, Director of CASS Institute of International Law, made concluding remarks at the closing ceremony of the forum.

Also at the forum, a ceremony was held for the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement between CASS Law Institute and Tianjin Academy of Social Sciences, the establishment of the Rule of law Index Collaborative Innovation Base of CASS Law Institute (Tianjin), and the launching of the Blue Book of the Rule of Law 2020: Report on the Development of Local Rule of Law in China: No.6.
