On September 12, 2021, Professor Liao Fan, deputy director of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, accepted an online video interview by the “China 24” Program of China Global Television Network (CGTN). In the interview, Professor Liao expressed his opinions on the recently held legislative election in Macao and the upcoming subsector elections for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's Election Committee, and analyzed issues relating to the core principle of “patriots governing Hong Kong and Macau”.
