The International Forum on Diversified Dispute Resolution in Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone Opened



The International Forum on persified Dispute Resolution in Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone, Organized by the Hengqin Base of the CASS Think Tank for Comprehensive Law-based Governance, opened on September 11, 2023. The Forum, held in a combined online and offline form, was attended by more than 50 experts and scholars from the Standing Committee of Zhuhai Municipal People's Congress, Executive Committee of Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone, Zhuhai Court of International Arbitration, Hengqin International Commercial Mediation Center, Macao Bar Association, Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, China University of Political Science and Law, Southwest University of Political Science and Law and other institutions. 

Professor Mo Jihong, Director of CASS Institute of Law, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the forum, pointing out that in-depth discussions around the theoretical innovation and practical exploration of persified dispute resolution in Hengqin Cooperation Zone are of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and the high-level construction of Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone.

Mao Xiaofei, an associate research fellow at CASS Institute of International Law, presided over the third theme of the Forum, "Supporting and Promoting the Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms". She pointed out that China should vigorously develop the persified dispute resolution mechanism in Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone, so as to optimize the legal ecological environment for persified dispute resolution in the In-depth Cooperation Zone.



Liu Jingdong, a research fellow at CASS Institute of International Law, made a concluding speech at the closing ceremony of the forum. He said that this forum provided an important platform for the exchange of ideas on theoretical and practical issues of the development of the persified dispute resolution mechanism in Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone, and achieved fruitful results.



Also attending the forum were Professor Qu Xiangfei, Assistant Professor Tan Guanfu, Assistant Professor Shen Qian and Assistant Professor Lin Qiang from the Editorial Department of the Journal Chinese Review of International Law of CASS Institute of International Law.
