The Innovation Forum "Legal Education and Legal Theoretical Research in the New Era", a sub-forum of the first Innovation Forum in the Era of the Rule of Law, was held in Beijing on December 16, 2023. The forum was jointly sponsored by CASS Institute of Law, CASS Institute of International Law, Law School of the University Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and China Democracy and Legal System Publishing House Co., Ltd., jointly organized by Yingke Law School of Ludong University, the Center for Publicity of and Education on the Rule of Law and Public Law Studies of CASS Institute of Law, the Rule of Law Times Magazine of China Democracy and Legal System Publishing House, Contemporary China Publishing House, and Law Publicity Online (www.ifaxuan.com/) and attended by experts, scholars and representatives from China Law Society, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University, China University of Political Science and Law, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Ludong University, China Democracy and Legal System Publishing House Co., Ltd. and Contemporary China Publishing House.

At the opening ceremony of the forum, presided over by Professor Xie Zengyi, deputy director of CASS Institute of Law and vice dean of the Law School of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, speeches were given by Professor Mo Jihong, director of CASS Institute of Law and dean of the Law School of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Liu Wenke, president of the Rule of Law Branch of Contemporary China Publishing House.

After the opening ceremony, a press conference was held for the launching of the publication plan for the book series "Legal Education in the New Era". The press conference was presided over by Professor Wu Yong, the executive dean and the head of the Teaching and Research Section of Private International Law of the Law School of the University Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Subsequently, a seminar on "the Innovation of Textbook System of Legal Education in the New Era and Construction of Three Systems of Law" was held. The seminar was presided over by Professor Zhang Chuxia, Party Secretary of the Law School of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
