The first Competition Law Forum: the Seminar on "Chinese Modernization and Legal Guarantee for the Implementation of Fair Competition Policies" was held in Beijing on December 22, 2023. The seminar was sponsored by the Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and attended by more than 60 experts and scholars from the Supreme People's Court, the State Administration for Market Supervision, the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (the National Academy of Governance), China Law Society, Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, Guangdong Provincial Administration for Market Supervision, Beijing Intellectual Property Court, Peking University, Nanjing University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, University of International Business and Economics, Sichuan University, East China University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Dacheng Law Firm and some enterprises.

 

 
 
 
 

 

At the seminar, which was divided into four units, participants gave presentations and carried out discussions on various issues around the topics of "Theoretical Interpretation and System Construction of Competition Policies", "Evaluation and Improvement of Competition Policy Implementation Mechanism", "High-quality Development, Unification of Big Market and Guarantee for the Implementation of Anti-monopoly Law" and "Development in the Frontiers of Digital Economy, Intellectual Property Rights, Innovation and Competition Law".
