The Symposium on Judicial Interpretations of General Provisions of the Book on Contracts of Civil Code was held at CASS Institute of Law in Beijing on January 28, 2024. The symposium was organized by the Center for Private Law Studies of CASS Institute of Law and attended by more than 30 scholars from universities and research institutions such as Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Normal University, National Prosecutor's College, China University of Political Science and Law, Central University of Finance and Economics, University of International Business and Economics, Minzu University of China, Chinese People's Public Security University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing Forestry University, Capital University of Economics and Business and CASS Institute of Law.

The symposium, which was divided into two sessions, each consisting of two parts: presentations and comments, focused on the Judicial Interpretations of General Provisions of the Book on Contracts of Civil Code recently issued by the Supreme People's Court. The participants carried out comprehensive discussions on important theoretical issues in the application of the Judicial Interpretations, such as the conclusion, effect, performance, and modification of contracts.
