The second session of the Shatan Youth Forum "Rule of Law and Chinese Modernization" in 2024, sponsored by CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law, was held in Beijing on March 12th. At this session, presided over by Mr. Zhang Jingui, head of the Research Coordination and International Cooperation Department of CASS Institute of Law and attended by more than 30 young researchers from the two CASS institutes, a lecture entitled "Private Law Protection of Cyberspace" as Property was given by Dr. Zhang Haoran, an assistant research fellow at the Intellectual Property Department of CASS Institute of Law, gave an academic.

In the lecture, Dr. Zhang Haoran mainly discussed the changes in the demands of the property system in the digital environment, the limitations of the existing protection system of property in cyberspace, the definition and attributes of property in cyberspace, and the construction of the related protection system.

After the lecture, the participants carried out discussions on the definition of the concept of cyberspace, the theoretical basis of cyberspace as property, the criminal law protection of cyberspace, and the self-relief in cyberspace.
