The first Innovation Forum of CASS Institute of Law in 2024 was held in Beijing on March 19. At the forum, Professor Xue Ninglan, head of the Social Law Department of CASS Institute of Law and director of the CASS Center for Gender and Law Studies, gave a lecture entitled "New Progress in China's Legislation on Integrated Protection of Women's Rights". Professor Mo Jihong, director of CASS Institute of Law, attended the forum and delivered a speech at the beginning of the forum.

In the lecture, Professor Xue briefly reviewed the course of the comprehensive revision of the Law on the Protection of Women's Rights and Interests and the active participation of the CASS Center for Gender and Law Studies in the revision of the Law. Then, in light of the specific provisions of the revised Law on the Protection of Women's Rights and Interests, she explained the structure, institutions and norms of the integrated protection of women's rights in China from four aspects: right confirmation, infringement prevention, victim relief and responsibility.

The forum was presided over by Professor Wang Tianyu, deputy head of the Social Law Department of CASS Institute of Law, and attended by more than 40 researchers from CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law as well as graduate students in related fields from the Law School of the University of CASS.
