The Seminar on Institutional Innovation and Application of the Norms of the New Company Law held in Beijing

The Ninth Commercial Law Forum: the Seminar on Institutional Innovation and Application of Norms the New Company Law was held in Beijing on April 20, 2024. The seminar was sponsored by CASS Institute of Law and attended by more than 40 experts and scholars from the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, Jilin University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, China University of Political Science and Law, Central University of Finance and Economics, National Prosecutors College, East China University of Political Science and Law, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Southwest University of Finance and Economics, Zhengzhou University, and Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences.

In the opening ceremony presided over by Professor Chen Jie, head of the Commercial Law Department of CASS Institute of Law, keynote speeches were given by Professor Chen Su, a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and a research fellow at CASS Institute of Law, Professor Zhao Xudong from the School of Civil, Commercial and Economic Law of China University of Political Science and Law, Professor Shi Shaoxia from the National Prosecutors College, Professor Fan Jian from the Law School of Nanjing University, Professor Zhou Yousu from Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Zhao Wanyi from the School of Civil and Commercial Law of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and Professor Liu Kaixiang from the Law School of Peking University.

The seminar was divided into three sessions, in which the participants gave presentations and carried out discussions on various issues around the topics of "Institutional Innovation of the New Company Law" and "Application of the Norms of the New Company Law". 

At the closing ceremony of the seminar, presided over by Professor Zhao Lei, a research fellow at CASS Institute of Law, Professor Fan Jian from the Law School of Nanjing University summarized the main issues discussed at the seminar and delivered a closing speech.
