The third session of the Innovation Forum and the second session of the High-end Forum on Foreign-related Rule of Law of CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law in 2024 were held in Beijing on May 14, 2024. At this session, a lecture entitled "Actively Developing Foreign-related Legal Services" was given by Teresa Cheng Yeuk-wah GBM GBS SC JP. The lecture was presided over by Professor Xie Zengyi, deputy director of CASS Institute of Law. Professor Tian He, director of the CASS Center for National Rule of Law Index, delivered a speech before the lecture. Professor Zhang Yuejiao, former chair of the Appellate Body of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the first director of the International Arbitration and Dispute Settlement (IADS) Program at Tsinghua University School of Law, and Professor Liu Jingdong, head of the International Economic Law Department of CASS Institute of International Law, served as interlocutors at the lecture.

Ms. Teresa Cheng is a senior counsel in Hong Kong and a well-known expert in the field of international arbitration. She served as Secretary for Justice of Hong Kong from 2018 to 2022 and is currently a professor at Tsinghua University. This forum is conducive to strengthening exchanges between CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law and academic and practical circles in Hong Kong and promoting the further development of the research on foreign-related rule of law.

The lecture was attended by more than 40 scholars from CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law, graduate students from the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and professionals from enterprises and law firms.
