The lecture on "The AI Governance Ecosystem in the US" held at CASS Institute of Law


The lecture "The AI Governance Ecosystem in the US" was held at CASS Institute of Law on July 16, 2024. The lecture was given by Dr. Karman Lucero, a research fellow at the Paul Tsai China Center of Yale University, USA, presided over by Dr. Liu Canhua, an assistant research fellow at the Cyber and Information Law Department of CASS Institute of Law, and attended by more than 40 people, including Professor Xie Zengyi, deputy director of CASS Institute of Law, Professor Ding Sai, deputy director of CASS Institute of International Law, some researchers from two CASS institutes and some graduate students from the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

 

 

In the lecture, Dr. Lucero introduced the characteristics, content and latest developments of the AI governance ecosystem in the U.S. After the lecture, researchers from the two institutes exchanged views with Dr. Lucero on the trend of federal legislation on AI, the AI regulatory measures adopted by federal regulatory authorities, and the regulation of cutting-edge AI technology in the US, and the impact of decentralized legislation on and regulatory methods for the compliance of related enterprises.
