Professor Mo Jihong attends the academic seminar on "One Country, Two Systems"


 

The academic seminar on the Experience of and Prospects for the Implementation of 'One Country, Two Systems', jointly organized by the Legal Affairs Bureau of the Government of Macao Special Administrative Region and the Constitution and Basic Law Research Center of the Law School of the University of Macau, was successfully held at the University of Macau on August 3, 2024. The seminar was attended by about 60 experts and scholars from the mainland and Macao Special Administrative Region. Mr. Huang Liuquan, deputy director of the Liaison Office of the Government of Macao Special Administrative Region, Mr. Xu Ze, former president of the National Association for Hong Kong and Macao Studies, Mr. Yang Zhaoye, director of the Research Office of the Basic Law Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and Ms. Liang Yingyan, director of the Legal Affairs Bureau of the Government of Macao Special Administrative Region, each delivered speech at the opening ceremony.

 

 

The seminar was divided into the keynote speech session and three thematic sessions. Professor Mo Jihong, director of CASS Institute of Law, gave a 20-minute academic lecture to the participants in the keynote speech session. In the lecture, he comprehensively and systematically expounded issues relating to the implementation of laws in special administrative regions in the post-basic law era.
