To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and thoroughly study and improve the social security system for workers in flexible employment, migrant workers, and people with new employment forms, the Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences organized the Seminar on the Reconstruction of Labor and Social Security Systems in the Digital Age in Beijing on the afternoon of August 16, 2024. The seminar was attended by more than 20 experts and scholars from Peking University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, Central University of Finance and Economics, Beijing Foreign Studies University, China Academy of Labor and Social Security, Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, World Social Security Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing No.1 Intermediate People's Court, China Human Resources and Social Security Council, the Editorial Board of Insurance Studies, Workers Daily and Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It was divided into two sessions, in which participants discussed various issues relating to the reconstruction of labor and social security systems in the digital age, including social security issues of workers in flexible employment and new forms of employment and migrant workers and the response to these issues by the labor and social security system in the digital age.
