The celebration of the 60th anniversary the relocation of CASS Institute of Law to its current site and the launching ceremony of the institute history exhibition project successfully held


 

 

The Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Relocation of CASS Institute of Law to Its Current Site and the Launching Ceremony of the Institute History Exhibition Project was held in the conference room of the CASS Institute of Law on August 20, 2024. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the relocation of CASS Institute of Law, which was established on May 16th, 1958, from its original site at No.1 Toutiao, Nanlishi Road in Beijing to its current site at No.15 Shatan Beijie in Beijing. At the celebration, Professor Liu Nanlai, a famous international law scholar of over 90 years old who once worked in the former site of CASS Law Institute, Professors Xiao Xianfu, Professor Fu Kuanzhi, and Professor Wang Dexiang, who have worked at CASS Institute of Law for 60 years, and Professor Zhang Shaoyu and Professor Zhang Guangxing, two retired researchers of the Institute who are over seventy years old, recalled with deep affection their work at the Institute and placed high hopes on the younger generation of scholars in the Institute.

 

 

 

After the celebration of the 60th anniversary of relocation, the launching ceremony of the Project on the Exhibition of the History of CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law was held. Professor Mo Jihong, director of CASS Institute of Law, Professor Wang Ying and Professor Xie Zengyi, two deputy directors of CASS Institute of Law, Professor Li Lin, a member of CASS, and Mr. Li Zheng, director of Yingke Law Firm, gave speeches at the launching ceremony. Under the project, two physical exhibition halls, namely the Exhibition Hall of the History of the Two Institutes and the Exhibition Hall of Historical Achievements of the Two Institutes, and one online exhibition hall, namely the Digital Exhibition Hall of the History and Achievements of Two Institutes, will be set up in the two institutes.
