To thoroughly study, publicize and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the academic seminar on "Comprehensively Deepening the Reform in the Field of the Rule of Law and Promoting Modernization of the Chinese-style Rule of Law" was successfully held in Beijing on August 30, 2024. The seminar was sponsored by CASS Institute of Law, jointly organized by the CASS Think Tank for Comprehensive Law-based Governance and the CASS Center for Studies of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, and attended by experts and scholars from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Law Society, Shanghai Law Society, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.

Professor Zhang Wenxian, director of the Academic Committee of China Law Society, Professor Xu Xianming, vice president of China Law Society, Mr. Jiang Bixin, vice president of China Law Society, Professor Li Lin, member of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a research fellow at CASS Institute of Law and deputy director of the Academic Committee of China Law Society, Professor Shen Guoming, vice chairman of Shanghai Association of Social Sciences, and Professor Mo Jihong, Director of CASS Institute of Law, each delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

At the seminar, which was divided into three units, participants gave presentations and carried out discussions on a wide range of issues around the topics "The rule of Law and the Reform", "The Rule of Law and Chinese-style Modernization", and "Reform in the Field of the Rule of Law and Construction of Foreign-related Rule of Law".
