The 13th CASS Legal Forum (2024), sponsored by CASS Institute of Law, was held in Beijing on October 31 - November 1, 2024. The forum took "Artificial Intelligence Governance: Legislation and Practice"  as its theme and was attended by nearly 60 Chinese and foreign experts and scholars.

At the opening ceremony, presided over by Professor Xie Zengyi, deputy director of CASS Institute of Law, opening speeches were given by Professor Mo Jihong, director of CASS Institute of Law, Professor Sean Cooney from the Law School of University of Melbourne, and Professor Liao Fan, Deputy Director of CASS Bureau of International Cooperation.

At the forum, which was divided into six sessions, participants gave presentations and carried out discussions around the topics of AI Governance Models and Rule of Law, AI Governance Mechanism and Collaboration, AI Legislation and Judiciary, the Use and Regulation of AI at the Workplace, Legislation and Global Governance of AI, and AI Governance and Protection of Rights.

At the closing ceremony of the forum, presided over by Zhang Jingui, head of Department of Research Coordination and International Cooperation of CASS Institute of Law, concluding remarks were given by Piotr Grzebyk, Vice Dean of Faculty of Law and Administration of University of Warsaw, and Professor Xie Zengyi.
