A delegation of the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption, headed by Deputy Commissioner Qiu Shuchun, visited CASS Institute of Law on November 7, 2024. During the visit, the delegation held a meeting with Professor Xie Zengyi, deputy director of CASS Institute of Law, Professor Tian He, director of the CASS Center for Studies of National Rule of Law Indices, Professor Lu Yanbin, head of the Department of Survey and Studies of National Situation of the Rule of Law of CASS Institute of Law, and Mr. Zhang Jingui, head of the Research Coordination and International Cooperation Department of CASS Institute of Law. At the meeting, Professor Xie Zengyi extended his warm welcome to the Deputy Commissioner Qiu Shuchun and his colleagues and gave them a brief introduction to CASS Institute of Law. 

Mr. Qiu Shuchun thanked the Institute of Law for its warm reception, explained the purpose of his visit, reviewed the past exchanges and cooperation between the Commission and CASS Institute of Law, express his appreciation for the work carried out by CASS Institute of Law and his willingness to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions.

In the subsequent discussion between members of the delegation and all the staff members of the Department of Survey and Studies of National Situation of the Rule of Law of CASS Institute of Law, Professor Tian He gave the delegation a brief introduction to the establishment, development and academic impact of the CASS Center for Studies of National Rule of Law Indices and Professor Lu Yanbin introduced the basic situation, research methods and application of results of the department and the Center in recent years.

Mr. Qiu Shuchun spoke highly of the work done by the department and the center and exchanged views with staff members of the department around the construction of a clean government and the rule of law.
