The joint annual conference of the Constitutional Law Society and the Legislative Law Society of Beijing Law Society in 2024 was held at CASS Institute of Law on December 7, 2024. The conference was attended by nearly 50 experts, scholars and graduate students from the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, China University of Political Science and Law, Minzu University of China, People's Public Security University of China, Central University of Finance and Economics, Beijing Union University and other research institutes.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, presided over by Mr. Zhang Guogui, vice president and secretary general of the Constitutional Law Society of Beijing Law Society, opening remarks were made by Ms. Wang Rongmei, chair of the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of Beijing Municipal People's Congress. Mr. Zhang Guogui and Professor Liu Xiaomei made annual work reports on behalf of the Constitutional Law Society and the Legislative Law Society of Beijing Law Society, respectively.

The conference was divided into three units, in which participants gave presentations and carried out discussions around the themes of "Strengthening the innovative practice of implementation of the Constitution and constitutional supervision and building Law-based China in the Capital City", "The Constitution and comprehensively deepening of the legislative reform", and "Building Law-based China in the Capital City and providing legislative guarantee for high-quality development".

At the closing ceremony of the conference, presided over by Associate Professor Liu Zhixin from CASS Institute of Law, concluding remarks were made by Professor Mo Jihong, president of the Legislative Law Society of Beijing Law Society and director of CASS Institute of Law.
