The Seminar on Improving the Socialist Legal System with Chinese Characteristics, sponsored by the CASS Institute of Legal Culture and jointly organized by the Research Team on "Theoretical System of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law" and the Research Team on "Theoretical Basis of and Implementation Plan for Building a Socialist Rule of Law System with Chinese Characteristics" was successfully held at the Institute of Law on December 7, 2024. The seminar was attended by experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance), Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, Nanjing Normal University, and Southwest University of Political Science and Law. In the seminar, which was divided into three sessions, participants gave presentations and carried out discussions on a wide range of issues around the theme of the major arrangements and theoretical innovations made by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on "improving the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics."
