The 2024 Annual Conference of China Society of Social Law was held in Shanghai on December 28-29, 2024. The Social Law Research Team of CASS Institute of Law, consisting of Professor Xie Zengyi, deputy director of the Institute, Professor Wang Tianyu, deputy head of the Social Law Department of the Institute, Dr. Cheng Leng and Dr. Zhou Yuan, two postdoctoral fellow at the Institute, and He Xiaochen a doctoral candidate at the Law School of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended this academic activity.

At the conference, Professor Xie Zengyi gave a key note speech titled "Main Challenges Posed by Digitalization to Labor Law and Systematic Response Thereto". 

In the roundtable forum, Professor Wang Tianyu presided over the unit on "Challenges Posed by Population Aging to Social Security Law and Responses Thereto". In the sub-forum session, Dr. Cheng Ling and Dr. Zhou Yuan each gave a presentation on "Public-Private Law Collaboration on the Path to the Realization of Platform Workers' Automated Decision-making Refusal Right" and "Challenges Posed by Algorithmic Employment Management to Labor Law in the Digital Age and Response Thereto", respectively. 

At the annual conference, the paper "Public-Private Law Collaboration on the Path to the Realization of Platform Workers' Automated Decision-making Refusal Right" submitted by Dr. Cheng Ling won the first prize for Excellent Paper of Young Scholars.
