The second session of the 2025 Shatan Youth Forum: "The Rule of Law and Chinese Modernization", sponsored by CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law, was held in Beijing on May 6, 2025.

 

 

At this session of the forum, presided over by Mr. Zhang Jingui, head of the Department of Research Coordination and International Cooperation of CASS Institute of Law, Associate Professor Zhou Hui, Deputy Head of the Cyber and Information Law Department of CASS Institute of Law, and Ms. He Yingshi, an member of the AI Legal Staff of Douyin Group, jointly gave a presentation on the theme of "Empowering Legal Research through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Rule of Law Propositions in AI Development". The session was attended by more than 30 young researchers from CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law.

 

 

In the presentation, Ms. He Yingshi discussed the role of artificial intelligence in improving the efficiency of the legal profession and the current trend of the profession affected by AI, and Associate Professor Zhou Hui proposed and analyzed ten core issues related to the theory and practice of legal research in the development of AI.

After the presentation, participants carried out discussions on such issues as the regulation of artificial intelligence, the application of artificial intelligence in judicial practice and legal research, and related risks.
