The 18th Social Science Arbitration Roundtable and the Second Meeting of the Expert Committee on Foreign-related Arbitration, organized by CASS Institute of International Law, was held in Beijing on October 10, 2025.

At the opening ceremony of the roundtable, Professor Li Honglei, Secretary of the Joint Party Committee of CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law, Mr. Zheng Ruohua, a part-time professor at Tsinghua University, a co-Chairman of the Asian Institute of International Law, and a member of the Expert Committee on Foreign-related Arbitration of the Ministry of Justice, and Mr. Yang Xiangbin, Director of the Public Legal Service Administration of the Ministry of Justice, each delivered an opening speech.

At the seminar, which took "the New Arbitration Law and Cultivating China's World-class Arbitration Institutions" as its theme and was divided into four units, participants discussed a wide range of issues around the topics of providing judicial guarantee for the construction of China's world-class arbitration institutions through the revision of the Arbitration Law, facilitating the construction of China's world-class arbitration institutions and the joint development of foreign-related legal services by the new Arbitration Law, the difficulties and opportunities for Chinese arbitration institutions to 'go global' and to improve the quality and efficiency of international case management.
