The Seminar on Institutional Design of Primary Responsibility for Online Catering Platforms and Legal Regulation of Platform Economy held at CASS Institute of Law


The Seminar on the Institutional Design of Primary Responsibility for Online Catering Platforms and Legal Regulation of the Platform Economy was held at the CASS Institute of Law on October 29, 2025. The seminar was sponsored by CASS Institute of Law, organized by the Cyber and Information Law Department of CASS Institute of Law, and attended by experts and scholars from the CASS, the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance), Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, China University of Political Science and Law, Central University of Finance and Economics, and Beijing Institute of Electronic Science and Technology.
 

 
At the seminar, Associate Professor Zhou Hui, deputy head of the Cyber and Information Law Department of CASS Institute of Law, and Ms. Peng Yaoyao and Ms. Xiang Ruowen, two doctoral candidates of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, introduced the content framework of the Model Law on the Regulation of Platforms, jointly drafted by the CASS Institute of Law and other university institutions and the system design of the Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Food Safety Primary Responsibility of Providers of Third-party Online Catering Service Platforms and Online Catering Service Providers  (Exposure Draft). Participants conducted in-depth discussions on the standardization, scientificity, and operability of the Exposure Draft and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions on the improvement of the Draft.
