The Seminar on the Compilation of the Ecological and Environmental Code was held in Beijing on December 13, 2025. The seminar was sponsored by CASS Institute of Law, organized by the Ecological Law Department of the Institute, and attended by about 50 experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, Peking University, and other universities and research institutions.

At the seminar, participants conducted in-depth discussions on the Chinese expression of the ecological environment code and the construction of related interdisciplinary knowledge system, including such issues as the philosophical starting point of the relationship between man and nature, ecological philosophy, code and cultural expression, social structure of ecological governance, ecological wisdom in ethnic areas, ecological global governance trend, reshaping of governance methods brought about by technological change, and approaches to bring animal protection concepts into the orbit of the rule of law.
