To mark the tenth anniversary of the implementation of the Anti-Domestic Violence Law of the People's Republic of China, the seminar on "Anti-Domestic Violence Law: Initial Intention of Legislation and Legal Practice" was held at CASS Institute of Law on March 23, 2026. The seminar was hosted by the Center for Gender and Law Studies of CASS Institute of Law and attended by more than 20 researchers and graduate students from CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law.

At the seminar, Professor Xie Haiding, affirmed the historical significance of the Anti-Domestic Violence Law in the construction of the rule of law in China. In the keynote report session, Professor Chen Mingxia emphasized the necessity of anti-domestic violence legislation and introduced the legislative process of this law. During the discussion session, Professor Xue Ninglan pointed out the important role played by academic circles in the drafting of the anti-domestic violence law.
