The Seminar on "the Legal Protection of Personal Information" was held in Beijing on May 13, 2026. The seminar, as part of a series of academic activities commemorating the tenth anniversary of the "May 17" speech, was sponsored by CASS Institute of Law, jointly organized by the CASS Institute of Legal Culture, the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of CASS Institute of Law, and the Department of Cyber and Information Law of CASS Institute of Law, and attended by experts and scholars from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Central University of Finance and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, University of International Business and Economics, China Academy of Information and Communication Technology, Tongji University and other universities and research institutions.

At the seminar, the participants focused on the latest achievements and theoretical development in the construction of the legal system of personal information protection in China, and discussed the experience in legal protection of personal information, providing solid academic and intellectual support for building a fairer and more just global digital regulatory system.
