The second session of the 2026 Innovation Forum, "The Path to Building China’s Autonomous Jurisprudence Knowledge System", was held in Beijing on May 12th, 2026.

This session, as one of the series of academic activities commemorating the tenth anniversary of Xi Jinping’s important "5.17" speech, was organized by the Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It was presided over by Professor Lu Chao, deputy head of the Department of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law of CASS Institute of Law, and attended by nearly 50 experts and scholars from universities and research institutions such as Peking University, Renmin University of China and Minzu University of China, as well as news media such as People's Daily, Guangming Daily, Economic Daily, Rule of Law Daily and Chinese Social Science Today.

At the forum, Professor Zhi Zhenfeng, head of the Department of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law of CASS Institute of Law, gave a keynote speech, in which he analyzed the production mechanism and achievements of Chinese jurisprudence theory research in the past twenty years, and pointed out the existing dilemmas. At the forum, Professor Zhi Zhenfeng's new book, The Emergence of China’s Autonomous Jurisprudence Knowledge System, was released.
