The 20th Social Science Arbitration Roundtable and the Third Meeting of the Expert Committee on Foreign-related Arbitration, jointly organized by the Institute of International Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Xiamen Arbitration Commission/Xiamen Court of International Arbitration, were held in Xiamen on May 29, 2026. The event was attended by nearly 50 expert representatives from the national arbitration practice, legal academia, business circles, federations of overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese businessmen, and foreign-related legal service sectors.

At the roundtable and the meeting, titled "Cultivating World-class Arbitration Institutions and Safeguarding Chinese Enterprises Going Global", participants discussed issues such as "path to cultivating world-class arbitration institutions and building capacity for foreign-related arbitration", "overseas arbitration for supply chain enterprises: dilemma, legal risks and solution path" and "protecting the rights and interests of Chinese businessmen and enterprises going global and supporting them with foreign-related arbitration services in the new era".
