CASS Center for Human Rights Studies co-organizes a sub-forum on “Human Rights Implications of the Global Governance Initiative” at the 2026 Forum on Global Human Rights Governance


The 2026 Forum on Global Human Rights Governance was held in Beijing on June 11-12, 2026. The forum, themed "Joint Development, Shared Human Rights: The 40th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Declaration on the Right to Development and a New Vision for Global Human Rights Governance," was jointly sponsored by the Information Office of the State Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and attended by more than 400 experts and scholars from over 100 countries and international organizations, including the United Nations.
At the sub-forum on Human Rights Implications of the Global Governance Initiative, an important part of the forum jointly organized by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies and the CASS Center for Human Rights Studies, experts and scholars from universities, research institutions, international organizations, and relevant departments in China and abroad engaged in in-depth discussions on the human rights implications of the global governance initiative and its leading role in global human rights governance.
