The 2026 Forum of the Chinese Journal of Law held


The 2026 Forum of the Chinese Journal of Law was held in Beijing on July 12, 2026. The forum, themed “A Green Picture of the Chinese-Style Modernization of the Rule of Law,” was sponsored by the CASS Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and organized by the editorial board of the Chinese Journal of Law. It was attended by experts and scholars from universities, research institutes, and government departments, including the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, China University of Political Science and Law, East China University of Political Science and Law, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Shandong University, Tongji University, Southeast University, Minzu University of China, Shenzhen University, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, Zhejiang Gongshang University, and Anhui Higher People's Court.

At the forum, participants held in-depth discussions on "the green picture of Chinese-style modernization of the rule of law" from different perspectives such as ecological and environmental law, civil and commercial law, economic law, criminal law and international law, focusing on frontier issues such as the Ecological and Environmental Code, green principles, green and low-carbon transformation, climate change governance, green finance, environmental pollution crimes, and global sustainable development.
