The Seminar on Legal Regulation of E-Commerce Innovation and Development was held in Beijing on July 13, 2026. The seminar was sponsored by the CASS Institute of Law and organized by the Cyber and Information Law Department of the CASS Institute of Law. At the seminar, participants held comprehensive, in-depth discussions and exchanges on key topics such as the legal characterization and rule adaptation of new e-commerce formats, identification of e-commerce platform operators, allocation of platform responsibilities, platform regulation measures, protection of the rights and interests of operators and workers on platforms, protection of consumer rights and interests, hierarchical supervision, application of proportional penalties, linkage to foreign-related rules, and open cooperation and corporate compliance.
