The Seminar on the Construction of a Unified National Market and the Modernization of Competition Policy was held in Beijing on July 27, 2026. The seminar was sponsored by the CASS Institute of Law, organized by the Economic Law Department of the CASS Institute of Law in cooperation with the Center for Competition Law Studies of the CASS Institute of International Law, and attended by more than 20 experts and scholars from Chinese University of Political Science and Law, University of International Business and Economics, Beijing Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, Xiamen University, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, as well as from the CASS Institute of Quantitative and Technological Economics, the CASS Institute of Law, and the CASS Institute of International Law.
At the seminar, which was divided into three units, participants held in-depth discussions on topics such as the construction of a unified national market, the modernization of competition policy, the anti-monopoly regulation of artificial intelligence, the regulation of public data authorization operations, the optimization of the anti-monopoly legal responsibility structure, the improvement of the fair competition review mechanism for local fiscal and taxation support policies, the optimization of competition law standards for account suspension on online platforms, the adjustment of judgment standards for the legitimacy of data crawling, the coordinated regulation by format clause contract law and anti-monopoly law, the improvement of the rule on innovation-based defense for concentrations of undertakings, and interdisciplinary collaborative research.
