Mr. Kevin Nash, the Director General of the London Court of International Arbitration, visited the ICASS Institute of International Law, where he attended a symposium on international arbitration, on the afternoon of September 21, 2026.

At the symposium, Professor Liu Huawen, Director of the CASS Institute of International Law, extended warm welcome to Mr. Nash, introduced to him the Institute's main research achievements in the field of international arbitration in recent years, and expressed the wish carry out in-depth exchanges with international arbitration institutions.

Mr. Nash gave a lecture on the emergency arbitrator mechanism in international arbitration. Ms. Mao Xiaofei, an associate research fellow and deputy director of the Private International Law Department of the CASS Institute of International Law, exchanged views with Mr. Nash on the differences in the institutional design of different arbitration institutions. Mr. Ren Hongda, an associate research fellow at the International Economic Law Department of the Institute, Mr. Tan Guanfu, an associate editor at the Editorial Board of Chinese Review of International Law, and Mr. Lin Qiang, an assistant research fellow at the Private International Law Department of the Institute, attended in the symposium.
