      Research Areas

Basic theories of international law; theory and practice of Chinese international law; international human rights law and humanitarian law; international law of treaties, the law of the sea; international health law, international responsibilities and mechanisms for the resolution of international conflicts.


      Research Projects

Professor Zhao Jianwen has led over 10 research projects, including 'Establishing a New International Political and Economic Order Based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence', a National Social Sciences Fund project, in 2002 and 'Studies on the Content and the Exercise of People's Right to Self-determination', a key project of CASS.
