This book, which is divided into five chapters, is a comprehensive exposition of the theory of people’s democracy and Chinese-style modernization. It introduces the theoretical characteristics of "the whole-process people’s democracy", the exploration by the Communist Party of China (CPC) of Chinese modernization in the course of its hundred-year struggle, and the major achievements made and historical experience gained by the CPC in this process, pointing out that developing "the whole-process people’s democracy" is the essential requirement of Chinese modernization, the people's congress system is the institutional carrier of "the whole-process people’s democracy" and the institutional guarantee of Chinese modernization, and developing "the whole-process people’s democracy" is the practical path to realize Chinese modernization.
