This book is the research result of the National Social Science Fund academic association funding project undertaken by the Chinese Institute of Legal History, and it is also a sequel to the two "New Developments in Studies of Chinese Legal History" edited and published by the Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2008 and 2013. In addition to the general introduction, the book is divided into twelve chapters according to the period of the research object, systematically introducing and commenting on the research progress and academic achievements in the field of Chinese legal history from 2012 to 2020. 2012年The 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China held in 2012 ushered in a new era of emphasizing and studying traditional Chinese legal culture, which is also the reason why this book was approved. We hope that through this book, we can show the achievements, shortcomings, and trends of development of the studies of Chinese legal history during this period time, provide a reference for our colleagues to continue the research on Chinese legal history, and contribute to the inheritance and development of China's excellent traditional legal culture.
