The Jingcheng International Law Salon (No. 1 in 2022) and the Innovation Forum of CASS Institute of International Law and CASS Institute of Law, jointly sponsored by CASS Institute of International Law and the Research Center for Governance by Law of China University of Political Science and Law, and jointly organized by the Private International Law Department and the Private International Law Innovation Project Team of CASS Institute of International Law, was successfully held in Beijing on January 11, 2022. The forum, which was divided into two units, took "New Trends in the Practice of Foreign Sovereign Immunity in the United States" and "Theory and Practice of Transnational Cultural Relics Recovery" as its themes, and was attended by scholars and experts from CASS Institute of Law, CASS Institute of International Law, China University of Political Science and Law, Beijing Normal University, Renmin University of China, China Foreign Affairs University, Southeast University, PetroChina International Exploration and Development Co., Ltd., and Beijing Zhonglun Law Firm.

The participants of the forum held that the two themes of this forum are of great concern to the international law circle and relevant practice departments, and hoped that the countermeasures and plans they proposed could provide intellectual and theoretical support for the Chinese government in dealing with the relevant cases. In recent years, the importance of international law and the significance of research and application of international law have become more and more prominent. China Society of International Law and China Society of Private International Law have played an increasingly important role in upholding the state's position and participating in judicial practice and arbitration practice involving international law. Chinese scholars of international law have an unshirkable responsibility to undertake the mission of the times.
