A special conference on talent work held at CASS Institute of Law CASS Institute of International Law


To implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Central Talent Work Conference as well as the decisions and arrangements made by the Party Group of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on deepening the reform of the systems of and mechanisms for talent development, the Joint Party Committee of CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law organized a special conference on talent work of the two institutes on January 16, 2024. The conference was presided over Professor Mo Jihong, secretary of the joint Party committee of the two institutes, and attended by more than 130 staff members of the two institutes.

 

 

At the conference, Professor Mo Jihong emphasized that talents are the primary resource and fundamental support for the development of the two institutes. CASS is developing an all-round and whole-chain incentive system for the discovery and cultivation of talents. The two institutes should seize the opportunity, take the initiative to implement various talent incentive policies and measures, and give full play to the main role of employers in building a talent team.

 

 

Ms. Sun Xiusheng, head of the personnel department of the two institutes, systematically introduced a series of measures and mechanisms adopted by CASS for cultivating, introducing, using and encouraging research talents at different stages in recent two years, analyzed the characteristics, orientation and advantages of these measures, and drew a road map for the development of research talents in combination with "key factors".

 

 

At the conference, commendations were given to the winners of the title of “important talent” of the two institutes in recent three years. Seven of them, Xie Hongfei, Xie Haiding, Zhi Zhenfeng, Dong Kun, Wang Tianyu, Dai Ruijun and Luo Huanxin, who were among the first batch of scholars selected for the "Long-Term Talent Cultivation Plan" of CASS, shared their experiences in the selection of research topics under the plan based on their own research fields, knowledge accumulation and characteristic advantages.
